Bob and Sally have gone back to the North Pole with Santa. It was a fun season and we all miss them but next year’s adventures will be here before we know it. They had a lot of fun surprising the kiddos each day! Here is the rest of Bob and Sally’s adventure for 2021.
Hope everyone had a beautiful holiday season and has a blessed New Year!
Well, can you believe it?!? We are halfway through the holiday elf season already. Bob and Sally have been quite busy with all of their daily adventures for my kiddos. Here’s a recap of some of things they have done this year.
If you want more instructions on a few of the science projects, just leave me a note in the comments. Also, let me know what your elves have been up to this holiday season! Happy Holidays!
I don’t know who decided that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks but they are sadly mistaken.
We had to put down our Griffon, Jerry Garcia, on Nov 8th. He was 11 1/2 years old. He had cancer and became septic. He was not only a great hunting companion, but he was my running buddy. Our whole family misses him terribly and it’s just not the same in the house without him. Our Sheepdog, Bob, I know misses him the most. They were brothers for 11 years.
Since then, Bob and I have been taking lots of walks. And just on a whim a week ago, I thought to myself let’s see if Bob will run. So let me let you in on Bob’s idea of fitness. For years, Bob has only enjoyed taking leisurely strolls through park. With about three 5 minute breaks under the trees during the walk. He hasn’t been a running dog in over 5 years.
So a week ago, I started a jogging pace just to see. And he did it. We ran 8 blocks. 8 BLOCKS! I was so impressed. Then a few days later, we tried running a mile at the park. And he did it. Today, we ran one of Jerry’s and my running routes, which is a little over 3 miles. I was so proud of him. He was so happy too.
So you CAN teach old dogs new tricks. Just wanted to share my happiness for today! Hope everyone is having a good one! Sending lots of positivity and kindness!
They’re Back! Bob and Sally are ready for some fun and mischief this holiday season.
I can’t wait either. My boys were so excited to find out they arrived this morning. If you want to keep up on all of Bob and Sally’s adventures this year, follow me on instagram @leslielarch.

This Thanksgiving is quite odd for us. We are still thankful for all that we are blessed with but we are moving at the beginning of next week so having all the kitchenware available needed for Thanksgiving was a bit impossible. We had thought about just forgetting the holiday and make a thanksgiving feast later but our boys had such a disappointed look on their face when we were discussing it. And if you know my hubby and I, we just can’t disappoint our kiddos. We decided well we would have one, it would just be tiny. So I ran to Safeway early Wednesday morning before Thanksgiving to buy all the trimmings.
All I’m gonna say is one word….INSTAPOT! Thank God for the Instapot.
I was able to cook a majority of the thanksgiving feast in it and not only did it turn out great, it saved so much clean up. Honestly, after doing it this way this year. I might just do it this way from now on. I was able to cook the Turkey Breast and potatoes in it. Then, all I had was the rolls and green bean casserole to finish in the oven. And thank you Costco for such amazing pies! That saved a ton of time too!
So if you are looking for a quick and easy Thanksgiving feast without a ton of cleaning…use your Instapot!
Hope you had a beautiful and blessed Thanksgiving! Sending good vibes, hugs, and love to all! From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
Now I have to give Starbucks props because Pup cups are were it is at! My big guy loves our trips to Starbucks but if you at home, don’t feel like going out, and want to give your pup a treat. All you need are some dog cookies and some whip cream.
Don’t forget your pups on Thanksgiving! They deserve something special to eat too! You can make them this easy treat that will be eaten in less than 30 seconds.
Happy Thanksgiving! Hope everyone is having a beautiful and blessed holiday!
