Salt Dough Ornaments

Make these fun salt dough ornaments with your kids this week.

With just a few ingredients, these adorable ornaments can make an afternoon of fun!

4 cups flour
1 cup table salt

1.5 cups water

How-to:

Mix the ingredients together in a large bowl using a wooden spoon. When it becomes too stiff to stir, use clean hands to bring the dough together. Add 1 Tbsp of water at a time if dough is too stiff. If dough is too sticky, add more flour.

Knead dough 3-5 minutes. Divide dough into 2, roll out into 1/4-1/2 in thickness. Using cookie cutters, cut out shapes from dough. Place cutouts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Before placing in oven, using a straw punch out a hole for an ornament hook.

Bake in oven on 250 degrees for 90 mins – 2 hours. Once cooled, paint ornaments. Then after paint is dried, paint 1-2 layers of mod podge.
