I started making this craft with my kiddos in 2018 and it has become a fun Easter activity each year since. For how-to, read below.
Happy Easter!
————————————
Easter is coming up fast. I feel like the holidays have been rushed with Easter so early this year. But nonetheless, let have some fun crafting while we can. They loved make the ornaments and then painting them. Baking and painting in one project….who isn’t excited!?! The banners are pretty easy to make and need limited supplies. So grab your aprons and paintbrushes, we are getting Easter Festive!!! 🐰
Easter Egg Banner
You’ll Need:
1 cup of salt
2 cup of flour
1 cup of lukewarm water
Parchment paper
Cookie sheet
Rolling pin
Easter egg cookie cutters (2 sizes)
Straw
Decorative ribbon
Acrylic paint
Paintbrushes
Glue
Glitter
How to:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine salt, flour, and water. Knead dough together for 10 minutes. Roll out dough to 1/4-1/8 inch thick. With your two Easter egg cookie cutters, cut out one large Easter egg and two smaller Easter eggs. Then using your straw, punch out a hole on the top center of each egg cutout. Place dough ornaments on the lined cookie sheet. Bake in oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Take ornaments out of oven, and let cool for 5-10 minutes.

Paint glue onto ornaments then sprinkle with glitter. Shake off excess glitter. Paint the rest of the ornaments with acrylic paint. Let dry.

Cut a 3ft long piece of decorative ribbon. String and loop ribbon through each ornament. Larger ornament should be in the middle with smaller ornaments on each side.
Happy Easter Crafting!
