Winter is here! There is nothing better than to rock out a craft project on a cold, snowy day! When I think of winter, I always think of snowmen, polar bears, and penguins. I have posted previous how to make a Sock Snowman, but now you can make him a friend. With a few craft supplies and a bag of rice, you will have a Sock Penguin in no time. The possibilities are endless for dressing your penguins, but I went simple with a beanie and a scarf. Hot glue is needed, so make sure there is parental supervision if the kiddos are making one.
Sock Penguins
You’ll Need:
Black Socks
Rice
Rubber Bands
White Felt
Orange Felt
Googly Eyes
Ribbon
Baby Socks
Hot Glue
Scissors
How To:
1. Take your Black sock and fill with rice. Tie off bottom section (body) with a rubber band then fill top section and tie off with rubber band (head). Cut off extra length of sock on the top, leaving about 1” left over.
2. Cut out white felt to make belly and face (shape should be a figure 8). Hot glue white felt to front of sock filled with rice. Hot glue googly eyes. Cut out of orange felt into a triangle for the penguin beak.
3. Tie ribbon around neck of penguin for scarf.
4. Place baby sock over top of penguins head for beanie.

Happy Winter Crafting!
