Well another year is over. Being a Virgo, I tend to be very detailed-oriented, thrive on planning, and kind of a perfectionist. So getting ready for the New Year is so exciting. I love to make my goals for the year as well as look back on all of events and moments that happened in the past year. My planner is all mapped out for 2018 from events to birthdays to upcoming projects. And my 2018 moments jar is all ready.

What is a “Moments Jar,” you ask? Well, I take a quart-sized mason jar, then decorate the outside with glitter and ribbon. I have it set out on my buffet. So when something happy, new, funny, life changing, or even difficult happens, write it down on a piece of paper and stick it in the jar. On New Years Eve, dump out all of the pieces of paper and read them. It will show how you have grown, persevered, and enjoyed the past year.

Once empty, stick the jar back in your favorite place then throughout the next year begin the process again. Each year, I like to add new ribbon or decor to the jar, just to change it up from the previous year.
Nothing like a glitter arts and crafts project to get the year started right!
As the New Year starts, I also make my goals for 2018. I design my own goals board.

I hang it in a place I look at everyday. For me, that’s next to my coffee maker. Then, I can remember my goals everyday and strive to accomplish them!
And last I enjoy taking a look back at not only my life but also my blog.
Here are my Top 5 blogs from this year:
4. Cloud Quiche
These are my Top 5 Faves:
3. Best Chocolate Cookies Ever
I am looking forward to what 2018 may bring. This year I will be incorporating more low carb, paleo friendly recipes. My husband and I mainly eat a low carb diet, so I figured I would share some of my favorite recipes. My boys and I love to do arts and crafts as well as bake so I will continue to share our upcoming projects. Hope everyone has a beautiful, safe and fun New Years! Cheers to what is to come!
