One of my favorite cookies to bake are Snickerdoodles. I thought I would spice up a new winter twist on these classic cookies. And come to find out, they were delicious and turned out great! Soft and chewy! It’s hard to stop eating after one.
Ginger Molasses Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
1/2 cup of butter, softened
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of sugar
1 large egg
1/3 cup of molasses
1 Tbsp of vanilla extract
3 tsp of cinnamon
1 tsp of ginger
1 tsp of cloves
1/2 tsp of salt
2 cups of flour
1 tsp of cornstarch
1 tsp of baking soda
1/2 tsp of cream of tartar
Spice Coating
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 tsp of cinnamon
1 tsp of ginger
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a cookie sheet.
In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and sugar together. Then add vanilla, egg, molasses. Mix until combined.
In a medium bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking soda, cream of tartar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.
Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until combined.
To make the spice coating, mix together the sugar, cinnamon, and ginger.
Take drops of dough and roll them in the spice coating, then place on cookie sheet. Bake for 8-9 mins.
