Southern Style Peach Cobbler

I have been in a baking mood lately. So, being in the South, of course I needed to make a cobbler. Peach Cobbler at that! I recently found wild blackberries growing in my yard and decided to add some of those to this cobbler too. This delicious, quick and easy cobbler will bring a little southern style to any table and satisfy your sweet tooth.

Peach and Wild Blackberry Cobbler

Prep Time: 15 mins

Cook Time: 35-40 mins

Total Time: 55 mins

Servings: 6-8 

Ingredients

Filling:

4 cups of fresh peaches, peeled and sliced

1 cup of blackberries

1 tbsp of lemon juice

1 tbsp of cinnamon

1/4 cup of sugar

Crust:

1 cup of flour

1 cup of sugar

1⁄2 tsp of salt

1 egg, beaten

6 tbsp of butter, melted

Directions

Place peaches and blackberries in bottom of greased 9×9 pan.

Sprinkle lemon juice, cinnamon, and 1/4 cup of sugar over fruit.

Sift dry ingredients for the crust.

Beat egg slightly and add to dry ingredients. Toss with fork until crumbly. Sprinkle over peaches and blackberries.

Drizzle butter over top.

Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

Tada! Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and ENJOY!
